Rajkot: Following Yashasvi Jaiswal's sensational double-ton, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's five-wicket haul through his spin magic to back India demolishing the English by a record 434 runs in the fourth Test here on Sunday. India leads the Test series 2-1.

PTI reports that when England resisted to play 'Bazbal', Indian bowlers led by Jadeja took out all the ten of the visitors for 122 in their second innings. The English had a target of 557 runs but crashed against a mighty total, giving India the largest test win in terms of runs.

The second-largest win for the Indians was the 372-run win against New Zealand in 2021.

Jaiswal was burning through the entire second innings with the bat. He scored a hundred on Day 3, Saturday, and retired due to back spasms. He continued from where he left on Day 4 after his partner Shubhman Gill fell. Jaiswal scored his double-ton and stayed unbeaten when India declared with a 556-run lead. He had scored off 236 balls with 12 sixes, which matched the record of former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram- maximum sixes in a Test inning.

Sarfaraz Khan and Gill complimented Jaiswal with their excellent contributions. Gill had scored a classy 96 before he went out. After his innings, Jaiswal became the first player to hit 20 sixes in a Test series, with two more matches left.

During England's chase in the second innings on Sunday, the top crumpled without contributing much. When Jadeja took five wickets, Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets, while Jasprit Bumnrah and Ravichandran Ashwin shared a wicket each. Ben Ducket ran himself out.
