New Delhi: Taking a leaf out of the private sector’s book, the Centre has decided to allow half its 30 lakh employees to work from home.

The decision comes as the next 15 days are viewed as crucial for the nation to contain COVID-19 outbreak.

According to Jitendra Sigh, the minister of state for personnel, the arrangement would not have impact on government functioning as seventy per cent of work is being done on the e-office framework.
