Move to stop Delhi victims from returning to homes
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Attempts are on to prevent victims of Delhi riots from returning to their homes in Shiv Vihar region in North East Delhi.
Victims alleged that police and paramilitary forces give their support to the assailants.
The minority commission visiting the area came under stone-pelting even in the presence of police.
Amid reports of man-missing, four bodies were fished out of gutter on Sunday, putting the toll to 47.
Police said that 909 people were arrested by Sunday in connection with riots and FIR has been registered on 254 people.
As many as 100 people are still not traceable, death toll could rise further, say people in camps.
Those fled the riots had claimed that many might have been killed and dumped in the canals, and the rising death toll as much as testifies to it.
