COVID-19: India cases stand at 2,032, deaths 58
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Just as the nation continues its strict vigil, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases peaked to 2,032 on Thursday, reports say.
However, on Wednesday total COVID-19 cases stood at 1,834, IANS reported quoting Union Health Ministry
The total toll from the pandemic was 41; however, on Thursday, the toll reached 58.
Amid the fearsome reports of new cases comes the hopeful one about those cured. As many as 143 patients have been cured and discharged, said the health ministry.
Among the 27 states, Maharashtra has the highest tally of positive cases at 302, followed by Kerala at 241, reports said.
The World Health Organization expressed concern about burgeoning spread of coronavirus pandemic, as the number of deaths doubled in a week.
