New Delhi:   Rahul Gandhi reportedly informed his party leaders that he wouldn’t want to continue as the party president.  

He asked senior leaders including Ahmed Patel and KC Venugopal to find a new party chief.

Rahul has not yet recovered from the drubbing his party suffered during the LS polls and offered to resign as party president at a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Saturday.

The party leadership, however, ‘unanimously rejected’ his request.
