Udupi: A cattle trader hailing from Jokatte in Mangaluru has been found dead under suspicious circumstances in a coffee plantation near Perdoor in Udupi.
The deceased has been identified as Husainabba (65). Sources revealed that he was waylaid while transporting cattle late night on Tuesday. It is said four persons including Husainabba had escaped on seeing the cops. Of the four, Husainabba was found dead this morning.
His relatives have expressed suspicion over the cause of his death. It is also being said that there were some Sangh Parivar activists along with the cops.
The body has been placed at the mortuary of KMC Manipal. The post-mortem report is expected to reveal the exact cause of the death.
