Resorts World Cruises, supported by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), announced the debut of its ship, Resorts World One, in the Gulf.

Beginning November 1, 2024, the ship will homeport at DP World’s Mina Port Rashid in Dubai, offering three weekly cruise itineraries: a 2-night Sir Bani Yas Weekend Cruise, a 3-night Oman Cruise (Khasab-Muscat) and a 2-night Doha Cruise.

Passengers will also have the option to combine itineraries for longer voyages, including 4, 5 and 7-night cruise vacations. Resorts World Cruises, known for its expertise in Asia, will cater specifically to Gulf markets by offering Halal-certified cuisine, shisha and onboard services tailored for Muslim guests.

“Muslim guests can cruise with peace of mind to enjoy certified Halal cuisines throughout the ship,” the company noted.

President of Resorts World Cruises, Michael Goh, expressed excitement about the launch.

“These are exciting times for Resorts World Cruises as we inch closer to the start of our first sailing from Dubai to the Gulf.” Goh added that the deployment would “unlock new opportunities for Dubai and the Gulf as a premiere cruise region”, said Goh.

To further enhance the cruising experience, the ship will feature entertainment inspired by Gulf and Asian cultures, including Diwali-themed activities for its debut voyage.

"Guests will get to personally experience the Festival of Light on the Resorts World One," said Goh.

Dubai’s Cruise Tourism Lead, Saud Mohammed Saeed Hareb, emphasized the significance of the partnership with Resorts World Cruises.

He said, “This strategic partnership...underlines Dubai’s position as the cruise hub of the region."

Resorts World Cruises' Gulf itineraries will offer passengers an opportunity to explore exotic destinations, including Sir Bani Yas Island, Oman’s historic cities Muscat and Khasab and the vibrant culture of Doha, Qatar.
