Dubai: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has initiated a gesture of appreciation by granting golden residency to religious figures in Dubai.

The golden visa will be granted to imams, muezzins, muftis and Muslim preachers, scholars and researchers, in a move to recognise their dedication and societal contributions. The religious figures will also receive financial rewards on Eid al-Fitr.

The provision of golden residency and financial rewards reflects the appreciation for the pivotal role played by religious figures in promoting unity and tolerance in Dubai.

Sheikh Hamdan's initiative exposes the vision towards promoting tolerance and compassion, essential values of Islam.

Previously in March, Sheikh Hamdan ordered a salary increase for imams and muezzins in Dubai, acknowledging their vital roles in guiding and serving the community.

This gesture highlights the importance of religious leaders and their contributions to fostering a harmonious society in Dubai.
