Big Bad Wolf sale opens in Dubai with over one million books

Big Bad Wolf Books has opened its 2026 Dubai sale at Sound Stage in Dubai Studio City, bringing more than one million titles to readers over an 11-day run ending March 8.
The annual event, held in partnership with the Sharjah Book Authority and Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, offers discounts of up to 95 per cent. Prices start from Dh2 and entry is free.
Organisers have set this year’s theme as “Beyond the Noise”, pointing to renewed interest in sustained reading at a time of heavy digital use. The sale draws families, students and individual readers seeking access to a wide range of titles under one roof.
Andrew Yap, co-founder of Big Bad Wolf Books, said the theme reflects a desire among readers to slow down and reconnect with books.
The program also includes STAGE WRITE 2026, a 48-hour playwriting competition scheduled for February 28 from 10 am to 12 pm, adding a live creative element to the sale.
