As the holy month of Ramadan enters its final days, Abu Dhabi Mobility has rolled out a series of transportation initiatives to support worshippers visiting Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, including a free bus service and enhanced traffic management measures.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), under the Department of Municipalities and Transport, announced on Thursday that 10 complimentary buses will operate between the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Bus Interchange in Al Rabdan. This service is designed to provide safe and efficient transportation for worshippers, especially during the increased attendance expected for Taraweeh and late-night prayers in the last ten days of Ramadan.

To further ensure smooth mobility, Abu Dhabi Mobility has intensified its traffic monitoring and management efforts. Digital surveillance cameras have been activated across surrounding roads and intersections to detect congestion or emergencies in real time and enable swift response.

Additional support includes the deployment of mobile electronic signs to help visitors locate designated parking areas, along with fixed Variable Message Signs (VMS) offering real-time directional guidance to road users.

Field inspectors have been stationed at key intersections to regulate traffic and provide on-the-spot assistance during peak prayer hours. Road Service Patrols and vehicle towing services are also on standby to promptly clear any incidents, ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow.

In a bid to further ease access to the mosque, Abu Dhabi Mobility has allocated 100 taxis daily throughout Ramadan. This number will increase during the final ten days to accommodate higher demand from worshippers attending nightly prayers.
