Riyadh book fair 2025 opens Thursday, Uzbekistan named guest of honour
text_fieldshe Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 will begin on Thursday, bringing together more than 2,000 publishing houses from over 25 countries in what is expected to be one of the region’s most significant cultural gatherings.
Organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, the fair will run until October 11 at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. It will feature a packed program of talks, workshops and literary activities aimed at fostering cultural exchange and dialogue.
Uzbekistan will be this year’s guest of honor, with exhibitions and programs highlighting the country’s literature, history and arts.
More than 200 cultural events are planned, including author sessions and interactive activities. A children’s zone will offer programs tailored to different age groups.
The fair will also include a business zone, bringing together publishers, literary agencies and service providers. It will feature workshops on entrepreneurship, copyright and licensing, along with pavilions for government and financial organizations.
As the largest cultural event in the region, the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 is expected to attract wide participation from both local and international audiences.
