Thalassery: In a setback for CBI, the Thalassery additional district sessions court on Tuesday returned the supplementary charge sheet in the murder case of Ariyil Abdul Shukoor submitted by the CBI.
The court rejected the plea submitted by the CBI to shift the case to the designated CBI special court in Kochi.
The CBI can now approach the Kerala High Court to decide which court should consider the supplementary charge sheet.
The sessions court, however, did not give CBI time to approach the High Court.
The CBI slapped conspiracy charges against CPM district secretary P Jayarajan and T V Rajesh MLA in Ariyil Abdul Shukoor murder case.
