Thiruvananthapuram: T M Thomas Isaac, Finance Minister of Kerala said that PM Modi is ‘modern Kamsa’.

The Minister vented his ire against Modi by invoking the notorious mythical tyrant for slashing Kerala's share in the Samagra Shiksha Scheme which aims to improve quality of school education.

While making the sharp attack against the Prime Minister in a social media post, Isaac claimed that even children in Kerala are victims of political hostility.

“Modi is inciting political fear even in kids just like Kamsa, children in Kerala are also being subjected to BJP’s political animosity, Modi and the central government are displaying the cowardice of modern Kamsa by cutting short sanctions from central government to Kerala for the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyaan' he said in his Facebook post.

“Children should not be hated like this. In the present scenario, where our achievements in public education is becoming a model to the country overall, the central government has sanctioned thousands of crores to those states ruled by BJP whereas Kerala has been sanctioned with just 206 crore. BJP government is causing a healthy dose of cruelty against children, said Isaac.

'Uttar Pradesh has been allowed an amount of Rs 4773.10, Rajasthan has been allowed with Rs 2717.18 crore, Madhya Pradesh was given 2406.60 crore and Tamilnadu was given 1422 crore while the central government has denied Kerala and Karnataka completely. This will affect our schools and children very badly”, the Minister added.
