Kozhikode: An all-party delegation formed for the release of PDP Chairman Abdunnasir Maudany has decided to go Bengaluru to meet Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and apprise him of the stalemate and denial of justice in the case, the delegation Vice President Poonthura Siraj said.

At present, trial, has almost been stalled in the case registered against Maudany, who has been in prison for last eight years. His release has become a matter of uncertainty. He is unable to go for treatment outside Bengaluru or to visit his ailing parents in Kerala. A planned move to eliminate Maudany by weakening his health is suspected. Prominent figures of social, political and cultural spheres will approach Karnataka chief minister for taking urgent steps in this regard.

Poonthura Siraj also demanded Kerala government's intervention against abusing human rights and denial of justice. General Secretary Nisar Methar, Secretary Thikkodi Noushad, district president Ashraf Mathottam and others took part in the conference.
