Kerala JD(U) to become part of LDF
text_fieldsIt is official now - almost. The state secretariat of the Janata Dal (United) has given the go ahead for the decision to align with the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF). JD (U) state unit president Veerendra Kumar announced at a party office bearers' meeting that the party was indeed contemplating this shifting of alliance at the appropriate time.
Party Secretary General Varghese George informed mediapersons that the decision was taken unanimously, after it discussed in detail orgnizational nd political matters. George also made it clear that there was unanimity of views on the subject.
It is expected that the state council convened for Friday willl discuss this further and make a public declaration of the same. Since those who had earlier opposed the party's entry into LDF like former minister KP Mohanan, Manath Chandran have now agreed to go with the leaders' decision, Friday's state council decision is seen as a mere formality.
