Thiruvananthapuram: As the mediation efforts by labour commissioner failed, United Nurses Association has decided to launch an indefinite strike again. The association demands to issue notification on a new wage pact.

After the talks with the Commissioner, UNA spokesperson Jasmin Shah said nurses had no other option left before but to go for the strike. He alleged the government appeared to be protecting the interests of hospital managements.

"Nurses will join the indefinite strike on Tuesday after the conclusion of night duty on Monday. The government has failed to resolve wage issues relating to even a single hospital. We regret to say this government has been a big failure in handling the issue," he said.
