Thiruvananthapuram: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala Tuesday said the government would not appeal against the Kerala High Court order in the ISRO espionage case.
“The government has decided not to appeal against the Kerala High Court order in the ISRO case,” Chennithala told reporters here.
A division bench of Justice A.V. Ramakrishna Pillai, acting on a petition of former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist Narayanan, had directed the state government to reconsider its decision to drop case against the three police officers and submit a report within three months.
The case surfaced in 1994 when Narayanan along with another top official of ISRO, two Maldivian women and a businessman was arrested on espionage charges.
