A 17-year old Palestinian boy was shot dead by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah. Musa'ab Firas Al Tamimi, was caught in a clash with the Israeli army in Deir Nidham, about 14 km northwest of Ramalla. The Israeli bullet struck him in the neck, and was rushed to a hospital in Ramalla but succumbed to death, said government spokesman Maria Aqra. Israeli army claimed that Tamimi had gun on him.

In an emailed statement, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) alleged that the teenager was taking part in a “violent riot” in Deir Nidham, that involved “dozens” of Palestinians. It also said that the incident was "being reviewed".

Reports say that the Israeli army had been after the boy's family for long and another boy of the same family was was recently arrested by the Israeli army. When the forces arrived on the scene for a raid, the local population gathered against him, when the soldiers shot at him.

Since the declaration by US President recognizing Jerusalem as Israeli capital, 16 Palestinians have been killed, and Musa'ab is the first to be killed in 2018.
