In a landmark initiative, the Uttar Pradesh government has sent the first-ever international consignment of holy Triveni Sangam water to Germany, marking a significant step in extending the spiritual essence of the Maha Kumbh beyond India's borders.

The grand Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, held from January 13 to February 26, attracted a staggering 66 crore devotees who gathered to take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam - the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Following the event, the Uttar Pradesh government made arrangements to distribute this holy water throughout all 75 districts of the state.

With rising international demand, 1,000 glass bottles of Ganga water have now been shipped to devotees in Germany. This global consignment was facilitated by Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri of Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara. The initiative aims to provide access to the sacred water for devotees who were unable to participate in the pilgrimage.

According to Rajiv Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) in Prayagraj, the packaging and distribution of the water are being handled by the Nari Shakti Mahila Prerna Sankul-level committee from Jasra. The committee has successfully distributed over 50,000 bottles domestically, with recent shipments reaching Nagpur's Shiv Shambhu Group Society.

Committee in-charge Namita Singh explained that the international consignment sent to Germany consisted of 250 ml bottles, whereas domestic distributions were provided in 500 ml bottles.

The Uttar Pradesh Fire Department played a key role in ensuring the widespread distribution of the water across the state. Additionally, the Fire Department assisted in filling a private tanker from Assam, brought by Sant Raja Ramdas of Param Shivam Shiv Mandir Yogashram in Guwahati, further spreading the spiritual reach of the holy water.
