New Delhi: Under "Operation Ajay," the Ministry of External Affairs announced that the second charter flight carrying Indian nationals who were left behind in Israel due to the current conflict touched down in New Delhi early on Saturday.

The second flight brought in 235 Indian Nationals in total, including two infants.

Under "Operation Ajay," 212 Indians were airlifted out of Israel on Friday as part of the first exercise in repatriation, the New Indian Express reported.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar posted images of the second round of stranded residents' return with the following caption: “#OperationAjay Flight #2 carrying 235 Indian nationals takes off from Tel Aviv.”

On October 11, the government began "Operation Ajay," which aims to rescue citizens in Israel who have been stranded. This happened after other airlines, including Air India, ceased all commercial flights to and from Israel on October 7, after the war broke out. The Indians will be returned on specially scheduled aircraft as part of this operation.
