Another incident of bullying, assaulting, and mocking Muslims in public places has emerged after previous cases were left without action against the culprits, once again exposing that Muslims can be attacked anywhere, anytime on false allegations.

In this case, an elderly Maulana was brutally beaten on a train in Rajasthan over accusations of molestation, though the alleged victim’s family denied any wrongdoing on his part and testified that he was reciting the Quran while on duty collecting donations for a madrasa where he is the director in Gangapur city.

The attackers, including a woman, alleged him of molestation but railway authorities have not confirmed the allegations, and the victim’s family has denied them, stating that he was on his seat, reciting the holy Quran.

According to the family, some men boarded the train alongside the Maulana, and while sitting near him, they passed derogatory remarks about Muslims to ensure he heard them, which escalated tensions.

A woman among them allegedly pointed at him, called him a Pakistani, and made accusations, prompting the TT to summon him near the door, where two men and the woman started beating him mercilessly. The Maulana had gone to Ankleshwar for his duty of collecting funds.

A video of the brutal assault, published by Jitendra Pratap Singh, a supporter of Narendra Modi, shows the elderly Maulana being slapped and hit repeatedly by the two men while the woman misbehaves with him.

Reacting to the video, journalist Wasim Akram Tyagi stated that extremists now consider it their right to attack Muslims upon seeing them, as previous cases have not resulted in punishment.
