Doggy dhaba opens in Indore, Food, hostel, and party for dogs
text_fieldsIndore: Pet parents love to indulge their fur babies and a unique establishment in Indore is now providing a complete experience. The Doggy Dhaba is a restaurant for dogs. But it also provides boarding and space for birthday celebrations.
The dhaba is for people who are struggling to find a pet-friendly restaurant.
The restaurant was opened by Balraj Jhala and his wife. Speaking to ANI, they said the dhaba also offers food delivery. The couple came up with the idea during lockdown when they realised even dogs are struggling to find food. "I have been a dog lover since the beginning. I used to work in a hotel till the year 2019, from where I fed the dogs on the way back home at night," said Balraj.
The duo offers basic meals and veg/non-veg specialities along with supplements for prices ranging from Rs 7 to Rs 500 per day. According to their website, they ship one million meals every week to customers across India.
The Doggy Dhaba also makes customised cakes for dogs' birthdays to celebrate their special day. "My business also operates online. Dog food delivery boys are also kept who supply food both times." They also try to make sure the dogs in the hostel are well taken care of and get plenty of time to exercise, play, and socialise.
