76-Year-old man shoots son after dispute over second marriage

The incident occurred around 10 AM on Sunday in Rajkot, Gujarat.
According to police reports, Rambhai alias Ramkubhai Boricha wanted to marry for a second time, a decision that was strongly opposed by his son, Pratap Boricha. The disagreement escalated into a heated argument, during which Rambhai pulled out a firearm and shot his son twice, killing him instantly.
Eyewitnesses revealed that after the shooting, Rambhai remained seated near his son’s body, displaying no remorse for his actions.
Following the tragic incident, Pratap’s wife, Jaya, filed a police complaint against her father-in-law at the Jasdan police station. Authorities quickly arrested Rambhai and presented him before the court, which remanded him to police custody for two days.
Police officials have launched a thorough investigation into the case to determine whether the attack was premeditated or carried out in a fit of rage.
