New Delhi: A teenage boy stabbed an 18-year-old to death and danced on the victim’s body in Delhi’s Welcome area on Tuesday night.

Surveillance footage showed the teen attacker strangling the victim leaving him unconscious, before stabbing him.

The man was stabbed over 60 times as part of an attempt at robbery allegedly for Rs 350, NDTV reported citing police.

The police tracked down and arrested the accused and recovered Rs 350 he had allegedly stolen from the victim. The victim has not been identified yet.

The accused, aged 16, who did not appear to know the victim, attacked the man after he reportedly resisted robbery.

CCTV cameras showed the attacker dragging the victim’s body out to a narrow alleyway.

Afterwards, he was seen stabbing the victim in the neck until he was dead, and then kicked the head a couple of times.

The shocking turn was captured when he stood over the lifeless body and began dancing.

‘On Tuesday, a PCR call was received at around 11.15 pm that a youth, aged around 18 years, was stabbed to death by a minor in a bid to rob him in Janta Mazdoor colony in Welcome area,’ Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey reportedly said.

Police said the victim was rushed to hospital but was declared dead.
