Gulf Madhyamam is ushering in the new year with a unique initiative aimed at helping children learn essential life skills through play. The "Life Skill Olympiad", a full-day festival organized in collaboration with Hug Medical Services, will take place on January 17 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC). The event will placed nearby the Feast & Beats Mega Food Fest, creating a vibrant mix of entertainment, fun and education.
Unlike conventional competitions, the Life Skill Olympiad offers an immersive experience where children can practice and explore important life habits in an engaging environment. The event focuses on fostering excellence by encouraging children to adopt healthy routines, such as organizing school materials, eating meals without assistance and managing a balanced schedule for study and play. It also aims to reduce their dependency on smartphones by promoting more productive habits.
The Olympiad provides a platform where children can develop their abilities and recognize their strengths while participating in thoughtfully designed activities. It also offers parents an opportunity to identify their children’s potential and learn effective parenting strategies to support their growth.
Registration for the event is now open through events.q-tickets.com, with a fee of 50 QAR per student. Participants can also register by contacting +974 7076 0721. The event is open to children aged 4 to 15 years, with activities organized into different categories based on age. Sessions for younger children, including those in KG1, KG2 and grades one to three, will be held from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Older children, from grades four to ten, will participate in the afternoon from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
With its focus on life skills, self-awareness and personal development, the Life Skill Olympiad promises to be an enriching experience for children and a valuable resource for parents seeking to guide their children toward a well-rounded, independent future.
