Qatar’s former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has died at the age of 74, the Amiri Diwan announced.
In a statement, the Amiri Diwan said, “May Allah have mercy on his soul and grant him the best reward for his service and contributions to his homeland and nation".
Sheikh Hamad’s death was announced by the Amiri Diwan, which paid tribute to his service and contributions to Qatar.
