Gaza: In the war crisis deepened enclave of Gaza, Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Balah is going to run out of fuel in 30 minutes, Al Jazeera reported.
The hospital is housing the injured who were recently transferred from Rafah, and all are going through treatments, including dialysis. There are newborns connected to incubators and people who need surgeries, surgical procedures taking place every hour.
The Al-Aqsa Hospital is one of the very few running hospitals in the enclave which relies solely on electricity. Those in the hospital are hoping that someone will supply fuel here, but unfortunately, only forty minutes of fuel is left.
Gaza's Health Ministry spokesperson Khalil al-Degran said in a press conference that the hospital is going to stop operations soon because of Israel's draconian practices and the United Nation's procrastination over providing the necessary fuel for the generators to work at the hospital.
He furthered that the hospital received 3,000 litres of fuel on Wednesday when it needed 5,000 litres to operate. The hospital also houses around 1,300 sick and wounded, and their medical care will stop because of lack of fuel. Though they have requested urgent fuel multiple times, he said no concerned parties have responded.
In another news from the enclave, the Norwegian Refugee Council's emergency response leader in Gaza, Suze van Meegan, informed that scores of civilians are trapped in western Rafah, where Israeli forces are forcing their way towards them.
She said that the city of Rafah is compromised. Here, the east is an "archetypal war zone, the middle is a ghost town, and the west is a congested mass of people living in deplorable conditions", Al Jazeera quoted her.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces furthered their ground offensive in the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, where they raised down scores of residential areas.
