Israel's massacre breaching ceasefire in Gaza: Death count at 1,031

Gaza City: Israel's continued violations of the Gaza ceasefire have pushed the death toll to 1,031 Palestinians, according to Gaza's Health Ministry, underscoring what officials and humanitarian observers describe as the systematic erosion of an agreement that has failed to deliver safety for civilians.

The ministry said that by Thursday, Israeli actions in breach of the ceasefire had killed 1,031 Palestinians and wounded 3,309 others. Fresh attacks on Friday claimed the lives of five more Palestinians across the Gaza Strip, including three police officers.

Three officers were killed after an Israeli drone targeted a civilian vehicle at the entrance to the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. Witnesses reported that at least two missiles struck the vehicle, setting it ablaze and leaving multiple casualties and severe injuries. Gaza's Interior Ministry confirmed that those killed in the strike were members of the police force.

In a separate drone attack in Beit Lahia, a 35-year-old Palestinian was killed, with medical officials transferring his body to Al-Shifa Hospital. Another victim, 32-year-old Walid Haniya, succumbed to critical injuries sustained in an Israeli drone strike in the Al-Nasr area west of Gaza City.

Witnesses also reported heavy machine-gun fire from Israeli military vehicles targeting residential neighbourhoods in southern and western Gaza City, raising further concerns over the safety of civilians

Although a ceasefire agreement has officially remained in force since October 10, 2025, international agencies continue to report that Palestinians are living under relentless insecurity. Israeli attacks have reportedly continued without warning on crowded markets, cafés and temporary shelters housing displaced families, leaving civilians exposed to an unending cycle of violence despite the declared truce.
