Kolkata: After the suspended BJP spokesperson skipped appearing before Kolkata Police's probe team, it issued a lookout notice for her, who made headlines after making insulting statements against Prophet Mohammed and insulting severe violence across the country, PTI reported.
Sharma had ignored summons issued by officers of Amherst Street and Narkeldanga police stations, a senior police official said. "A lookout notice has been issued today after she failed to appear before our officers despite being summoned several times," he told PTI. Both the two police stations have summoned her twice, he added.
The officer informed that summons were issued after separate FIRs were lodged in the Amherst Street and Narkeldanga police stations in June.
Meanwhile, Nupur Sharma had cited potential assaults if she came to Kolkata. She had sought four weeks' time to appear before the sleuths of Kolkata police.
