FIR filed against 7 for hate speech at Raebareli Hindutva event

Raebareli: A week after a right-wing Hindutva event in Raebareli openly incited genocide against Muslims and Christians, Uttar Pradesh police have filed an FIR against seven accused. The complaint names Daksh Chaudhary, Riddhima Sharma, Prakash Singh, Akku Pandit, Abhishek Thakur, Khushboo Pandey, and others for hate speech delivered at the January 21 Virat Hindu Sammelan.

Riddhima Sharma urged extreme retaliation, stating, “If they kill two of yours, you kill 100 people in retaliation for peace.” She also invoked the conspiracy theory of "love jihad," declaring, “If they are making one Hindu girl run away, then you should make 100 of their girls run away.” Khushboo Pandey, notorious for repeated hate speeches against minorities, promoted the controversial “gobi farming” narrative, a euphemism glorifying the mass killing of Muslims during the 1989 Bhagalpur riots.

The event has drawn sharp criticism for its overt calls to violence against religious minorities, prompting the police action amid growing concerns over communal rhetoric in the region.
