Saif attacked while protecting Kareena and children; Kareena says kids are safe

Reports emerged over the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, revealing that the robber attacked the actor in their room, where actor Kareena Kapoor was also present with their two children, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, while Saif suffered knife wounds confronting the thief in an attempt to safeguard Kareena and the children. The incident took place at their home in Mumbai.

Reports indicate that Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif’s son from his previous marriage to Amrita Singh, had been called up early in the morning and then rushed the actor to Lilavati Hospital for treatment.

Saif sustained six wounds, including two deep cuts on his back, with one near his spine. A minor neck injury was also reported. He underwent neurosurgery and is now recovering, with further plastic surgery planned.

Crime branch officials have disclosed that the intruder was not captured on CCTV footage in the building’s lift or main lobby. This has led investigators to suspect that the burglar may have climbed the 12-floor building through the shaft.

The intruder reportedly entered through the maid's quarters at the back of the house, where an argument with the staff ensued. Although the staff managed to overpower the burglar and lock him in the children's room, he eventually escaped.

Further investigation has revealed vulnerabilities in the building's security. The safety wall at the back entrance is not very high, and only one watchman is stationed there, raising concerns about the adequacy of the security measures in place.

A release from Kareena’s team read “There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in the hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request the media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police is already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern. Team Kareena Kapoor Khan.”
