Mumbai: Kiara Advani, who has been cast as the female lead in Don 3, shared her enthusiasm for the new role.
In an interview with Filmfare, she expressed her desire for a change and to delve into a different genre, particularly action.
Kiara said, "I wanted to change it up for myself, and this was one genre that I was longing to get myself into. And that's what's exciting, right?" She further added, "As an actor, you are constantly stepping into different characters and making the world believe that that's who you are. There will be tough prep for the film, but I've got time to do that. I'm very excited, I've never done an action movie before. Now's my time to get some action in!"
On Tuesday, Excel Entertainment, headed by Farhan Akhtar, officially announced Kiara Advani joining the cast of Don 3. The announcement video shared on social media did not disclose details about Kiara's role in the film.
Last year, the makers of Don 3 released an announcement video introducing the new Don, voiced by Ranveer Singh. The video included the iconic "11 mulkon ki police" dialogue, maintaining the essence of the Don series.
Recently, Kiara Advani celebrated her first wedding anniversary with Sidharth Malhotra. The couple shared identical pictures from their horse-riding session, captioning it, "It's not the journey or the destination, it's the company that matters. Thank you for being the best partner on this crazy ride called life."
In her latest film appearance, Kiara starred alongside Kartik Aaryan in Satyaprem Ki Katha.
