YouTuber seeks medical help as 'Elephant Toothpaste' experiment goes wrong
text_fieldsNew York: Popular American You Tuber needed support of paramedics after smoke began to billow up as his science experiment went wrong during live streaming.
The 18-year-old streamer, one of the platform’s major content creators, was recently performing an 'Elephant toothpaste' experiment in his bedroom when things went wrong.
IShowSpeed, known for his variety livestreams, began posting gaming content in 2017 before gaining global attention with his animated responses while playing video games.
The 'Elephant toothpaste' experiment did not go as planned after it went wrong releasing toxic fumes into his home.
It all began with his usual dose of perky comments only for him to cry seconds later that ‘It didn't work!’
He was seen struggling with the smoke, saying ‘What is going on? Is it working? Ah, I can't breathe.’
The bedroom was all engulfed in white smoke before the YouTube and his cameraman ran out of the room.
At which point a fire alarm was heard going off in the background.
‘Speed is currently with the firefighters. They're giving him oxygen so he can breathe. He should be fine guys,’ IShowSpeed’s stream moderators said.
The Elephant Toothpaste Experiment involves hydrogen peroxide, dry yeast, and dish soap to create a foamy substance.
The chemicals in the process release oxygen gas, which as subsequently gets mixed with soap creates a large foamy reaction.
As the live experiment showed, it could terribly go wrong.
IshowSpeed earlier met Portugal football team captain Cristiano Ronaldo in June this year.
