Saudi, Indian legislators discuss parliamentary cooperation in New Delhi

A delegation from the Shura Council’s Saudi-Indian Parliamentary Friendship Committee met with India’s Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh in New Delhi. The group was led by Council Member and Committee Chairman Major General Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Harbi and is visiting India for a series of parliamentary discussions.

Talks at the Indian Parliament centered on developing channels of cooperation between the two legislative bodies. Participants outlined areas where both sides could expand coordination and exchanged views on subjects of interest to lawmakers in Riyadh and New Delhi.

During the session, the delegation and the minister agreed on the value of sustained parliamentary engagement to support broader relations between the two countries.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing readiness to continue consultations throughout the visit.
