Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Civil Supplies Minister P. Thilothaman has launched a ration card management system that delivers all related services online. Application for a new ration card, effecting change of address, adding or deleting a member, and changing ownership from one taluk to another can be done through the new system.

The public can log on to www.civilsupplieskerala.gov.in to avail these services.

The minister also launched the mobile app Ente Keralam, through which also all ration card services can be accessed. The app can be downloaded from the Google Playstore.

The pilot project of the new system has already been put in place at the City Rationing Office, Thiruvananthapuram North, and Chirayinkeezhu taluk. By the end of the month, all ration card services will be made accessible online, through all Akshaya centres and the mobile app, across the state. Akshaya centres will charge Rs. 50 for applying for a new ration card and Rs. 35 for other card-related services.

Applicants can collect the new ration card from the office concerned when they receive a message on the mobile.
