More Covid-19 cases reported in Gulf countries

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has reported the total number of Covid cases having crossed 20,000 with a death toll of 152, including seven dead on Tuesday. Of this two were Saudi citizens and three foreigners.
1,266 new cases of Covid infection were confirmed on Tuesday taking the total number fo 20,077. OF the new cases 77 per cent are foreigners. 17,141 patients are under treatment. 253 patients recovered in the preceding 24 hours thus the number of recoveries reaching 2,784.
UAE
Dubai: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday announced 541 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 11,380.
UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement that the new cases are all in a stable condition and receiving medical treatment.
Meanwhile, 91 more patients recovered from the virus, taking the number of recoveries to 2,181, according to the ministry.
The ministry also confirmed seven more deaths, pushing the country's death toll of the virus to 89.
KUWAIT
Kuwait: Kuwait Tuesday recorded one more fatality from the COVID-19, raising to 23 the total such deaths in the country, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA said.
The latest fatality was a 61-year-old Indian resident who was in intensive care, the Health Ministry said.
The ministry also reported 152 new coronavirus cases, bringing to 3,440 the country's infection tally, the ministry's spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said.
Kuwaiti Health Minister Sheikh Basil Al Sabah, meanwhile, said that 164 more patients have recovered from COVID-19, raising the total recoveries in the country to 1,176.
QATAR
Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Public Health Tuesday announced the registration of 677 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), and the recovery of 68 cases of the disease in the preceding twenty-four hours, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 1134 cases.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Qatar now stands at 11,921 with 10,777 active cases under treatment. The death toll so far is ten. 2,898 tests were conducted over the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 88607 tests.
OMAN
Muscat: 143 more Covid cases were confirmed in Oman, taking the total to 2,274. Of the newly confirmed cases 42 are national and 101 expatriates.
364 have recovered so far and 1,900 are under treatment in different hospitals. There have been 10 deaths so far due to Covid.
BAHRAIN
Manama: Bahrain reported 64 people recovered from Covid taking the total recovered cases to 1,310. One new case was reported on Tuesday and the total of patients under treatment is now 1,493 and the condition of all of them are stable except two.
