R Ashoka, BJP's Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Assembly, has accused the state government of allegedly favouring minorities by transferring animal husbandry property in Bengaluru, worth over Rs 500 crores, to them. He labelled it a "major scandal" and announced BJP's intention to protest both within and outside the Vidhana Soudha.

In a post on social media, Ashoka questioned the rationale behind shutting down a government veterinary clinic that caters to cattle and allocating it to minorities. He termed it a "Land Jihad" by the Congress government and suggested that if the government aims to appease minorities, they should acquire land rather than take away property dedicated to animal husbandry.

Amidst the controversy surrounding alleged slogans of 'Pakistan Zindabad' outside the Karnataka Assembly, BJP MLAs staged a protest in the Vidhana Soudha, demanding action. Ashoka likened the situation to an emergency and criticized the government's handling of the matter. He asserted that they were protesting to safeguard the nation's dignity and integrity.

Responding to the protest, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured that action would be taken based on the report from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). Meanwhile, Congress' Rajya Sabha MP-elect Syed Naseer Hussain dismissed BJP's allegations, stating that slogans were in support of him and not pro-Pakistan.

The BJP MLAs are planning a march to Raj Bhavan against the state government's various issues, particularly the budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The budget allocated funds for the fee reimbursement of minority students and earmarked Rs 100 crore for the development of Waqf properties.
