Jaipur: Perhaps there has never been a more ardent supporter to Gandhi's than lawmaker Sanyam Lodha for Sirohi, Rajasthan.

The advisor to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday called himself and others in the Congress as "slaves of the Gandhi-Nehru family".

He wouldn't give a damn about blurting out on the floor when the assembly was in session.

There was a debate going on the Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication (Amendment) Bill, 2022.

In the middle of discussion, Lodha rose to his feet and opened up "Yes, we are slaves. We will do slavery to the Gandhi-Nehru family till our last breath because this country has been built by the Gandhi-Nehru family".

Deputy Leader of Opposition, Rajendra Rathod cut in with a repartee that it's a new culture and complimented him for the slavery.

The house saw a ruckus after BJP MLA Kalicharan Saraf told Lodha that Congress had not given him a ticket despite his slavery.

In 2018 Lodha ran for the house as an independent candidate before he supported the Congress. He was recently made an advisor to the chief minister.

Meanwhile, Deputy Leader of Opposition, Rajendra Rathod gave a parting shot to Lodha saying that slaves couldn't speak their mind.

The house passed the amendment bill by voice vote.
