Odisha student dies by suicide, Sites lack of sleep as reason

Bhubaneswar: A nursing student in Odisha has died by suicide in a hostel room. The alleged suicide note indicates that she died due to an inability to get good sleep.
The 19-year-old was from Bolangir district and was found hanging from the ceiling of her room in a private hostel atJamukoli in the Airfield Police Station area in Bhubaneswar. The incident took place on Sunday night.
The note mentioned that she was taking an extreme step because she was unable to get a good sleep in the last few days. She apologised to her family and friends. The student did not hold anyone responsible for her death.
Airfield Police Station Inspector-in-charge Radhakanta Sahu said they have registered a case of unnatural death and an allegation has not been made against anyone as of now. Forensic and handwriting experts will examine whether the letter was written by her.
The hostel authorities said they contacted the girl's parents on Saturday night and suggested they take her home because she was exhibiting signs of stress. She roamed the hostel building at night.
