Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi served India with a 'Sarva Sparshi, Sarva Samaveshi' (all-inclusive and all-reaching) government during the past eight years, Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed on Thursday.

Addressing the 'Sankalp Se Siddhi' event here, he said, "In eight years, PM Narendra Modi gave a 'Sarva Sparshi, Sarva Samaveshi' government to the country. There isn't any area where reforms didn't take place, and we have taken an oath for the welfare of the entire society."

He made the routine attack on the previous UPA government, claiming that there was a "policy paralysis" and many scams also happened.

Shah was speaking at the 'Sankalp Se Siddhi' event organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in Bengaluru to celebrate 75 years of Indian independence.

He furthered the attack by saying, "There was a time before 2014 when the Prime Minister was not considered as a Prime Minister as every minister believed he or she" was the PM. "There was a policy paralysis in the country, and there were ₹ 12 lakh crore (worth) scams," the Union minister alleged.

According to him, before the Modi government, there were crony capitalism and price rise, both at their peaks, affecting the ease of doing business.

Referring to the 2014 BJP victory in the general elections, he said, "These developments made the country take a unanimous decision to install a government with majority."
