Mumbai: Footage showing a 13-year-old boy trapping a leopard into his house in Maharashtra has gone viral.

The uninvited guest entered the boy's house in Malegaon, Nashik at around 7:30 am as he was playing on phone, according to NDTV.

The front door was open and the stray animal walked straight into the house from the veranda, not noticing the boy.

It was like a house cat getting into the room only it didn’t nuzzle on his feet as friendly ones usually do.

It seemed the boy who was sitting on the sofa had no idea of the leopard’s visit, the surveillance camera in the room showed.

It was anyone’s guess what the child would do next if he suddenly chance upon the animal.

But the boy, getting off the sofa as if he came to think of some errands, got out of the room and closed the door behind him.

Obviously, the boy had seen the leopard entering the house but chose not to scream or panic as it would be dangerous.

He waited until he could safely get out of the room, trapping the animal indoors.

The video has been shared widely on social media platforms with people applauding the boy for handling the situation bravely.

Later, officials tranquilised the animal and locked it in a cage, according to NDTV.
