Jaishankar speaks on developing bilateral ties at Prague
text_fieldsPrague: S Jaishankar, Minister of external affairs, who arrived at Slovakian capital Bratislava on Sunday, met the Indian community and shared insights on the developments at home. The meeting intends to promote ties between the two countries.
"Delighted to meet the Indian community in Prague. Good to see many of them doing so well. The expansion of the community has also been encouraging. Shared with their developments at home and the state of our bilateral relationship. Count on their continuing support," Jaishankar tweeted after the meet.
Jaishankar also met the Czech Finance minister during the tour. Most of the European countries have been convincing India to take a stance against Russia in the Ukraine-Russia war. The minister's visit remains prominent amidst these discussions.
IT professionals, businessmen, and students include the 5000 nationals residing in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Reports claim that there are many informal associations of people of Indian origin who conduct events and gatherings in the country.
The ministry of external affairs aims to form a healthy-bilateral relationship with the Czech Republic, which will take over the EU presidency on July 1.
