The BJP-led NDA government will introduce five new Bills during the Monsoon Session of Parliament beginning Monday, while also taking up the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill for consideration and passage.

The proposed Bills include amendments to tighten registration of births and deaths, revise the Income-Tax Act, amend the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, update the MSME Development Act, and replace an ordinance through the Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill.

The FCRA Amendment Bill seeks changes to the 2010 law governing foreign contributions and hospitality to ensure such inflows do not affect national interest, public order or national security.

Parliament is also expected to take up the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill, 2025, after a Joint Committee submits its report.

The legislative agenda does not include the proposed delimitation package, including the Nari Shakti Adhiniyam, or women's reservation Bill, which was defeated in the Lok Sabha after the NDA failed to secure the required two-thirds majority. Sources said the package could be reconsidered after fresh Union Cabinet approval.
