Expats must register on Muqeem and Quddum to enter Saudi

Riyadh: Expats entering Saudi Arabia require an RT-PCR negative certificate issued from a certified lab within 72 hours before departure to the country and vaccination certificates from Tawakkalna as well as registration on the Muqeem and Quddum platforms, Arab News reported.

When they land in the Kingdom, they will be subjected to temperature checks.

Non-Saudi citizens and non-residents over 12 years of age should be fully vaccinated with a booster dose by vaccines approved by the country and the World Health Organization. They should submit proof that they are fully immunized on the Quddum platform, which enables them to update their Covid-19 related heath data 72 hours prior to arrival.

Regarding Saudi Citizens, their immunity status is defined by Tawakkalna App. Non-Saudi citizens needed to be fully vaccinated, and if the same was done outside the Kingdom, it should be registered on the Ministry of Health's website https://eservices.moh.gov.sa/CoronaVaccineRegistration.

Sources from international travellers told Arab News that if the guidelines are strictly followed, travellers' journey and entering the Kingdom will be unhindered. Some related their experiences when they failed to complete one or other requirements and faced difficulties.

On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia reported 4,541 new cases and two deaths out of Covid-19. Out of the total, 1,23 were recorded at Riyadh, 603 in Jeddah, 175 in Madinah, 149 in Hofuf, 148 in Dammam and 101 in Makkah and some cities with less than 100 cases. 5,212 people recovered on the day.

The total death recorded was 8,924 in the Kingdom. So far, 55.7 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine has been administered.
