Shashi Tharoor jokes Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday defies physics and biology
text_fieldsMumbai: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor marked Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday with a witty tribute, playfully questioning the actor’s age and suggesting he might be ageing in reverse.
Posting on social media, Tharoor quipped that the milestone was “deeply suspicious,” given Shah Rukh’s enduring charm, energy and youthful appearance. He joked that a team of “independent fact-checkers and forensic detectives” had found no visual evidence to support the claim, citing the absence of grey hair, any signs of slowing down, and the actor’s consistently youthful look.
In a tongue-in-cheek message, Tharoor wrote, “Happy 60th Birthday to the ultimate King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan @iamsrk I have to admit, I'm finding this "60" number deeply suspicious.” He went on to suggest that Khan might be starring in a real-life version of ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’, noting that his energy levels seem higher than they were two decades ago, his hairstyle more youthful, and any wrinkles easily explained away by good lighting.
Tharoor concluded with a humorous prediction: “I predict by the time he hits his "70th" birthday, he'll be auditioning for teenage roles. Mercifully, I don’t expect to be around when he turns into a child star. Congratulations on this unbelievable milestone, Shah Rukh! Please keep defying physics and biology, & confusing us all for many years to come”
The post drew widespread appreciation online, as fans and celebrities alike flooded social media with birthday wishes for the Bollywood icon.
