US Tech giant Apple, on Wednesday, said, that a virtual event 'Hi-Speed' will take place on October 13, the company is expected to launch the iPhone 12 after production was delayed by the pandemic, invites for bloggers and media have already been sent.

Usually, Apple announces the launch of iPhone and other devices in September, however, this year the event was delayed due to the Covid 19 spread which led to the global lockdown.

The 'High Speed' event will be held at Apple Park and will be live in India at 10:30 PM IST.

Apple is expected to launch four different models of iPhone 12 this year, all of them are believed to have 5G support, the top variant which Apple calls 'Pro Max' is expected to have lidar sensor–Light Detection and Ranging Sensor used to measure ranges (variable distances) to the Earth.

Apple's share in Q1 and Q2 of 2020 has been 14% in the global market, the percentage has dropped from 18%–Apple's market share in Q4 of 2019.

In India, however, Apple's market shares have been low and the company has been lagging behind Xiaomi, Samsung and Vivo, which stand at 29%, 26%, and 17% respectively, in the Q2 of the year 2020.
