New Delhi: Amid the vast devastation from earth quake in Turkey, often there comes heartening reports of people getting rescued days later.

Each discovery of life in the rubble encourages rescuers to expect somebody else waiting to be lifted from beneath a stone.

Rescuer Ali Cakas came out with a cat from the rubble and videos showed the animal sitting on his shoulder, all muddled up and hazy but still snuggling up to Cakas, who is a member of Mardin Fire Department.

The animal is not ready to leave his side as it obviously developed a bond with Cakas, shows a footage.

Cakas named the cat ‘Enkaz’, meaning rubble that suggests the horrendous earth quake that struck the nation days ago.

Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, took to Twitter on February 16 posting a video of the cat with its rescuer.

Another update by Gerashchenko said that Cakas has adopted the cat, garnering over five million views and 1.7 lakh likes.

"I posted yesterday about a cat saved from the rubble in Turkey who refused to leave his rescuer's side. The rescuer's name is Ali Cakas and he adopted the cat, naming him Enkaz - "rubble" in Turkish. May they have a happy life together!" Gerashchenko wrote in the caption.

Twitter users poured their heart out praising the rescuer as well as whishing the cat. One user said it was a beautiful story and wished, ‘God bless both of them’.
