Taliban strike on IS-K outfit kills three

IANS: The Taliban have conducted a retaliatory strike against the Islamic State Khorasan (IS-K) terrorist group's hideout in Afghanistan killing three and destroying the structure. The hideout was allegedly located in the Police 17 northern suburb of the capital city of Kabul.

The Taliban strike comes after a suicide bomber at the Eid Gah mosque killed several people in the gathering which had come together to mourn the death of Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid's mother on Sunday, said a Khaama Press report.

Conflicting reports have emerged after the bombing with some media claiming 5-10 people had been killed. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, although IS-K is known to have staged several attacks in defiance of the new Taliban regime in Afghanistan.
