A UFO researcher claimed that there were Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) spotted sighted in the skies above the Pacific Ocean in the past two months, NDTV reported, citing a New York Post (NYP) report.
The news house reported that former FBI agent and host of the Discovery+ show, 'UFO Witness' Ben Hansen gathered footage and air traffic control recordings of mid-air UFO sightings by the pilots.
Pilots from airlines, including Southwest Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, among others, have sighted multiple UFOs in the region. An ex-military pilot testified that he noticed several aircraft flying above him.
On August 18, flying a charter jet off the Los Angeles coast, Pilot Mark Hulsey informed the air traffic control that he saw an aircraft and it was going in circles at higher altitudes. But the air traffic control wasn't aware of it.
Twenty-three minutes later, Hulsey radioed that he saw seven such aircraft flying above him between 5,000 to 10,000 feet, while were three of them earlier.
The radio recording says the UFO went in circles while Hulsey was flying an F-18 of the Marine Corps. He swore that he had never witnessed such things before.
According to Hansen, the pilot has claimed that he spotted strange lights "seen by upwards of 15 different commercial flights. And at least six pilots are willing to go on record with their names and everything if asked to do so by any investigative agencies," NDTV quotes.
Meanwhile, an FAA spokesperson stated that whenever a pilot reports strange sightings to an air traffic control facility, it documents the same.
In 2021, the Department of Defense started a new outfit to find and identify UFOs in restricted airspace after Washington officials admitted they could not explain the phenomena of UFO sightings, the NYP report states.
