Florida man watches Spider-Man movie 292 times to achieve Guinness record

A Florida-resident Ramiro Alanis watched Spider-Man: No Way Home 292 times for the Guinness World Record for 'most cinema productions attended of the same film'. He spent 720 hours on the latest Spider-Man movie.

He is also the person who created the record in the first place in 2019 by watching Avengers: Endgame 191 times in theatres. The record was broken by Arnaud Klein who watched the French movie Kaamelott: First Instalment 204 times. Now with the Spider-Man movie, Ramiro has reclaimed the record.

After winning his title back, Ramiro took to Twitter to share his achievement and wrote "My swing got to its end." He claimed that he spent about $3,400 over three months on movie tickets to secure the record.

He watched back-to-back screenings of the Spider-Man film for the first few weeks. The terms of the Guinness record demand that he does not take his eyes away from the screen at all. He is not allowed to use the restroom or use his phone. The tickets were submitted as proof of viewership.

No Way Home is the sixth highest-grossing movie ever at the worldwide box office with a collection of $1.89 billion. The movie is becoming a classic for bringing three different iterations of the character. The Jon Watt directorial was lauded for delivering what trailers promised and surpassing expectations.

The MCU movie brought together superhero versions played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield along with their villains to give a glimpse of the multiverse. The concept of a multiverse is something the studio has been teasing for a while now. And fans are set to get a movie entirely based on it in 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' scheduled to be released in May.
